The Utmost Group of Companies (formerly LCCG) is founded by Ian Maidens and Paul Thompson.

2015

Through the year, LCCG purchases the closed Irish insurance business IBRC Assurance Company Limited and Scottish Mutual International Limited.

2016

LCCG purchases Aviva Life International from Aviva. The business has £1.2bn of assets under administration.

2016

LCCG purchases AXA Isle of Man from AXA, which is one of the largest UK providers of offshore bonds across the Isle of Man and Ireland. This is a significant deal for LCCG with the business having around £9bn of assets under administration.

AXA Isle of Man is rebranded Utmost Wealth Solutions.

LCCG purchases Augura Life Ireland and Altraplan Bermuda, followed a few months later by Union Heritage Life Assurance.

LCCG acquires the investment bond business of AXA Life Europe

LCCG completes the acquisition of Reliance Mutual which demutualises, and its business is transferred to a new life assurance company called Reliance Life

LCCG acquires Generali PanEurope and continues with its intention to create a market-leading, specialist wealth manager with a global footprint.

LCCG creates the Utmost Corporate Solutions brand.

LCCG enters an agreement with Equitable Life to transfer the business to Reliance Life. Subject to voting and approvals, the transaction is expected to close towards the end of 2019.

LCCG acquires Athora Ireland’s (formerly Aegon Ireland) International investment bond business from Athora.

LCCG acquires Generali Worldwide Insurance Company Limited and continues the expansion of the Utmost Wealth Solutions and Utmost Corporate Solutions business.
